Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process Engineering Technician I to support our Lewiston, ID manufacturing team. Swing shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm–11:30pm) offers hands-on process improvement, tool procurement, and operator training responsibilities to help improve yield and efficiency.

The role emphasizes documenting procedures, applying World Class Manufacturing principles, and collaborating in a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment relevant to the role.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and SQL.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Documenting, modifying, and maintaining manufacturing related procedures.
• Managing the procurement of assembly process tools.
• Training operators and support staff as needed.
• Learning and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
