Siemens Energy in Charlotte leads the startup, stabilization, and scale-up of power transformer manufacturing by implementing standardized processes and driving excellence. The role accelerates ramp, reduces variability, and ensures EHS and quality compliance during factory expansion.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in power transformer production, lean methods, and successful technology transfers, with proven leadership in growing teams and managing complex scale-ups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of process engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably power transformer production.
• 3–5 years of leading engineering teams, supporting factory start-ups or technology transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfer of manufacturing processes from established Siemens Energy facilities to the Charlotte plant and implement standardized manufacturing processes, operational controls, and SOPs.
• Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks to improve process reliability, throughput, and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) while optimizing manufacturing methods to reduce waste.
• Improve first-pass yield and minimize rework and scrap while ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and quality systems.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the process engineering team, strengthening technical ownership and organizational capability.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Test Field, and Logistics teams to align operational strategies and workforce development.
