Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Production Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for transformer manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Planning, and Maintenance to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall production performance. The role emphasizes data analysis, standardization of processes, the development and maintenance of SOPs, and ongoing process improvements across departments to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing/production/process engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting daily production operations and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process flows).
• Experience performing root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify trends and solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and routings.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production goals and schedule attainment.
• Resolve problems affecting safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
• Provide technical guidance for production personnel.
• Communicate risks and corrective actions during production meetings.
• Ensure manufacturing follows approved specifications and escalate when needed.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
