Job summary
Cenovus Energy is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical leadership for the Lima refinery's South Complex Area Business Team. You will improve safety, reliability, and operational performance, monitor unit health, optimize processes, and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with Operations and Commercial teams.
Responsibilities include leading unit optimization, supporting capital projects, and ensuring strong process safety through MOC and HAZOPs.
Qualifications
- Requires BS in Chemical Engineering.
- 2+ years of refinery or petrochemical process engineering experience.
- Experience with process safety practices (MOC, HAZOPs) and capital projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, reliable operation and KPI stewardship for assigned process units.
- Lead unit optimization and envelope stewardship with SME input.
- Provide day‑to‑day process engineering support to Operations and evaluate operating alternatives.
- Support process safety via MOC, HAZOPs, hazard analyses and incident investigations.
- Support development and execution of capital projects and unit turnarounds from scoping to startup.
