Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Process Engineer (R2‑R4) to support and continuously improve delivery devices, sub‑assemblies, and components for packaging and manufacturing sites. Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and regulations, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop, monitor, and provide technical oversight for control systems for process indicators to identify and address performance issues. Lead investigations concerning process and equipment safety incidents. Perform and summarize improvement opportunities in technical studies, reports, investigations, data analysis, and process modeling. Provide technical assessments of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical proposals and make recommendations related to suitability. Support all aspects of tool and process qualification, including computer system validation.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field and 4 years of experience with process and equipment requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In the alternative, a Master’s degree in the same fields and 3 years of experience will be accepted. Experience must include a minimum of: 3 years of programming and debugging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs); 3 years of leading resolution of manufacturing‑related issues, including deviations, data review, and supply chain coordination using Root Cause Analysis tools; 3 years of using computer‑aided design tools; 3 years of identifying and implementing process and product changes to improve manufacturing processes; and 3 years of using DOE, Six Sigma, and statistical methods as applied to engineering studies and reports. Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $113,360.00 - $130,364.00 per year. Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
