Responsibilities

Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Process Engineer (R1‑R4) to ensure a safe and compliant working environment by rigorously following safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety. Actively participate in safety initiatives, oversee the safe design and operation of equipment, and serve as a technical expert within the process team. Implement and monitor control systems and lead the resolution of complex technical issues. Apply formal problem‑solving methods, respond to customer needs, provide guidance to technicians, and manage equipment maintenance strategies. Implement corrective actions, support commissioning activities, develop project scopes for capital investments, and serve as a liaison for both local and larger‑scale projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field.

Required Experience
  • 6 months of experience with developing process automation solutions.
  • 6 months of experience with implementing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • 6 months of experience with analyzing supplier performance and inventory data using SAP.
  • 6 months of experience presenting regular metrics on manufacturing KPIs.
  • 6 months of experience supporting day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and project initiatives.
  • 6 months of experience with JMP and Statistica.

Travel: up to 10% domestic and international.

Compensation and Benefits

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $85,467.00 - $98,287.05 per year. Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). Additionally, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including:
