Job summary

Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Process Engineer at our Twin Falls factory in Twin Falls, Idaho. The role supports plant management in optimizing processes to achieve the highest recovery at the lowest cost while providing leadership in safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.

The successful candidate will develop and manage the Production Plan, Syrup Movement Plan, and Granulated Sugar Plan, and will work with project engineers on new installations, PFDs, and P&IDs, reporting to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Experience or training in process optimization and data analysis.
Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and update station OPLs and work instructions.
Develop, conduct and update Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs).
Provide process optimization oversight to maximize throughput and minimize operating expenses.
Support project engineers with new projects including PFDs, P&IDs, control narratives.
Maintain KPI reports and perform data analysis with SPCs.
