Job summary

Shin-Etsu Silicones of America is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer in Ohio to lead risk assessments, evaluate product readiness, and optimize manufacturing processes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, PHA, FTA and risk assessment methods is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment and evaluate processes using PFMEA, PHA, FTA or other methods.
• Evaluate product readiness with Technical department to determine compatibility with current machines and equipment.
• Baseline and document process parameters; interpret results.
• Document and report results of new product launches to management.
• Recommend improvements to products, processes, and parameters.
• Collaborate with EHS to create equipment work instructions, including LOTO.
• Work with customers to optimize production processes from inception to certification.
• Coordinate with maintenance to design, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
• Develop best practices to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Perform off-hours support to Production personnel for process issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
