Job summary

You will collaborate with maintenance, production and engineering teams to optimize conversion costs within safe operating parameters.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering required; chemical or electrical preferred.
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering; chemical industry preferred.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with operations team, applying problem-solving and technical expertise.
• Owns day-to-day production troubleshooting; leads cross-functional team to address issues.
• Collects and categorizes lost production to meet supply plan.
• Monitors yield, energy usage, and sustainability data to achieve cost conversion and sustainability goals.
• Measure machinery uptime and maintenance to ensure reliable, low-cost production.
• Responds urgently to plant issues and emergencies.
• Act as unit technical expert during unplanned events and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expertise in diagnosing and optimizing raw material and utility usage.
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs and validate improvements.
• Understand site integration to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Develop operator and supervisor training programs and RCA/CA for HSE performance.
