Job summary

Capital Resin Corporation in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Chemical / Production Engineer to support the engineering, design, and safe operation of our production systems at the Columbus plant and adjacent facilities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, identifying cost reductions, and coordinating with quality, R&D, and maintenance. A chemical or mechanical engineering degree and 5–10+ years of plant experience are required; PSM knowledge and AutoCAD experience are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field.
5–10+ years chemical plant experience in an engineering role.
PSM (Process Safety Management) experience preferred.
Microsoft Office, AutoCad and/or AutoCad LT experience.

Responsibilities

Providing production support and technical expertise to the assigned process system.
Investigating production related issues such as troubleshooting product quality, downtime, and equipment deficiencies.
Identifying cost reduction and reliability opportunities.
Providing support to quality and R&D teams on related issues such as evaluating process historian data, new product implementation, and audits.
Developing, improving, and maintaining required PSM documentation of assigned process systems
Analyzing long term process equipment reliability based on plant historical data and process metrics.
Providing engineering support to contractors and CRC maintenance for equipment repairs, modifications, and new installations.
Assisting as an engineering resource for the development of new products and the improvement/optimization of existing products.
