Job summary

ATI is seeking a Process Engineer to support our Vandergrift, PA coil mill facility. You will lead process development and improvement, work with production workers and supervision, and ensure quality cost control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will interface with internal customers and suppliers on quality issues, maintain Quality Management System records, and report to the Manager, Technology (Process Engineering).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with project development, implementation and management.
• Experience with process analysis, conducting controlled experiments and the ability to summarize data.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
• Problem solving skills and root cause analysis ability.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of mill product production.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal/external customers.
• Willing to provide off-turn support including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot process issues and control quality costs.
• Interact effectively with production workers, supervision and technical staff.
• Dispositon of non-conforming material considering customer requirements and costs.
