Job summary

ATI is seeking a Process Engineer to lead and optimize hot working processes for nickel, titanium, and specialty steel products. You will leverage metallurgical knowledge to enhance process efficiency, product quality, and safety while supporting development of new products and processes.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality, applying thermal/deformation modeling and problem-solving to drive continuous improvement and standard work on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering.
• Internships and/or co-op work experience in a metals-related industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize post-melt processes including forging and hot rolling of nickel, titanium, and specialty steel products.
• Develop metallurgical and operational expertise in processing of alloys.
• Drive cross-functional programs to improve yield, cost, and cycle time.
• Analyze thermo-mechanical processing data to support product engineering and R&D.
