Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a technical leader to provide direction and problem-solving support to resolve manufacturing issues, drive continuous improvement, document process changes, and maintain effective communication between the Patterns operation, the casting facility, and customers.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with at least five years in manufacturing, plus strong problem-solving and Excel skills.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering and/or five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively across all strata of the organization.
Heavy Excel abilities including formulas, pivot tables.

Responsibilities

Resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement.
Serve as a customer service liaison between our facility and casting facility.
Develop and approve new and revised Activity Instructions criteria in the patterns manufacturing areas.
Interface with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, and wax-area personnel.
Determine root cause of deviations from critical process specs and develop timely action plans with escalation to Plant Managers.
Review processes for adherence and repeatability of approved methods.
