Job summary

Prysmian Cables & Systems USA LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to advance manufacturing process excellence and reliability. You will lead hands-on troubleshooting, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions across production lines to improve yield, efficiency, and quality.

You will develop SOPs, partner with Safety and Quality teams, and support new process transfers and startups while maintaining ISO-compliant documentation and a strong shop-floor presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of manufacturing factory experience working on production processes, on-shop floor troubleshooting, and stable operations.
• 3 years of continuous improvement using Lean Sigma, A3, PFMEA, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and 8D problem solving.
• 3 years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of project management experience.
• 3 years of verbal and written communication with operators, executives, and customers.
• 3 years reading and understanding mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Drive process excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment and process failures.
• Implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve yield, efficiency, and throughput.
• Develop, document, implement, and sustain SOPs for safe, reliable operations.
• Promote Lean Sigma culture and lead cross-functional teams to sustain improvements.
• Support transfer, implementation, and startup of new processes, methods, and technologies.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety and Quality Assurance to maintain ISO 9000/14000 compliant documentation.
