Job summary

Prysmian Group seeks a Process Engineer to drive process excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement across our Abbeville manufacturing operations. You will lead hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and capital equipment projects while maintaining SOPs and safety culture.

The role requires a chemical engineering background, 3+ years in manufacturing, and extensive Lean Sigma toolkit experience, with strong cross-functional collaboration on process upgrades and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience on production processes and hands-on troubleshooting on the shop floor.
  • 3 years applying Lean Sigma tools (A3, PFMEA, SMED, RCA, Fishbone, 5 Whys, VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, 8D).
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing and project management.
  • Strong communication with operators, executives, and customers; ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
  • Lead hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Develop, document, and sustain SOPs; train operators on best practices and lean tools.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety and Quality Assurance to ensure ISO 9000/14000 compliance.
  • Support transfer, implementation, and startup of new processes and technologies.
