Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in West Michigan is partnering with manufacturers in Jenison, MI to identify a Process Engineer who can design, implement and optimize production processes for efficiency and cost reduction.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, SPC-based monitoring, documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs), and collaboration with R&D, production, and quality teams to enable new product introductions and process transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of process control systems and data acquisition.
• Experience with PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $75,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.


• Proven ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes using tools like Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.


• Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition.


• Experience with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).


• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.


• Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic).


• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.


• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


• Experience implementing automation solutions (e.g., robotics, AGVs).
