Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC offers a Summer 2027 Process Engineer Intern position. You will work with multiple plant leadership teams to drive operational excellence across facilities, learning through hands-on experiences and Kaizen projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and safety teams, plus building process maps and analyzing performance. Travel near campus is expected and a strong self-starter mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Operations Management with a 3.0 GPA.
• Junior or senior status preferred.
• Previous work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day plant performance processes in Reliability Excellence.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and safety teams.
• Participate in Kaizen projects to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing OEE and downtime.
• Review process standards and measure performance across facilities.
• Build process maps and identify improvement opportunities.
• Work independently and with multiple site Operations teams.
• Maintain accurate project records and share findings.
• Communicate ideas and results with team members.
