Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer II to provide engineering support and leadership in process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce cycle times, and scale up processes, while supporting safety and quality programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully participate on and/or lead technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple moderately complex assignments / projects.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn, receive, and provide coaching.
• Demonstrated history of operating with a sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and leadership in process control, troubleshooting, cost improvement, product quality improvement, cycle time reduction, and product/process development.
• Investigate and propose new production equipment, procedures, and methods to automate, improve, and/or scale-up existing processes.
• Collaborate with operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, R&D, and production planning to accomplish tasks.
• Assist in safety and quality management system compliance and improvement.
• Lead or participate in project teams to troubleshoot process issues and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, throughput, cost, and machine reliability.
