Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer II in Bolingbrook, IL to grow HgCdTe active layers by molecular beam epitaxy, operate and maintain growth reactors, and train teammates on new equipment and procedures.

You will provide technical support to technicians and engineers, interpret SOPs, and contribute to process improvements in a defense and aerospace setting, within a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical area.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in molecular beam epitaxy or similar technology.
• Equivalent combination of education/training and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain growth reactors and process equipment to produce standard or custom materials.
• Provide technical support to technicians and engineers on components, devices, materials, processes and equipment.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient information and materials flow.

Skills

Experience in cleanroom laboratory env

Programming language knowledge + MSOs
