Job summary

CANUSA EPC LLC is seeking a Process Engineer II to join our growing team in Denver. This role offers ownership of process engineering deliverables from concept through execution, with exposure to clients and field implementation.

You'll develop simulations and design documents, review PFDs, HMBs and P&IDs, size equipment, support commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–6 years of process engineering experience (master’s may count for up to 2 years).
  • Experience in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
  • Experience with BRE ProMax and/or Aspen HYSYS.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, and DOT standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Build and update process simulation models (BRE ProMax, Aspen HYSYS).
  • Develop/review PFDs, HMBs, and P&IDs.
  • Perform equipment, valve, and piping sizing calculations and develop specs.
  • Support PSV sizing with guidance from seniors.
  • Review vendor drawings and docs for compliance.
  • Participate in PHA meetings and implement recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, vendors, clients and operations.
