Job summary

Collectors Universe is seeking a Process Engineer II to join our Engineering & Quality team at the Santa Ana, CA headquarters. The role focuses on process development, equipment design, validation, and Lean manufacturing implementations, with occasional travel to other Collectors facilities.

You will report to the Process Engineering Manager and work onsite five days a week. A 4-year engineering degree and 1–2 years in high-volume manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar Engineering degree.
• 1-2 years experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Experience with 5S, Lean, JIT, or Kaizen approaches.
• Experience working with equipment vendors and suppliers.
• Familiar with tooling design and fixturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel or similar skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process design & development to replace current processes with efficient, stable, high-quality ones.
• Develop and stabilize existing processes.
• Equipment validation and implementation with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver engineering presentations.
• Document process steps for standardization.
• Identify opportunities for product, equipment, and process improvements.
• Implement 5S and lean concepts in processes and workspaces to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Test samples and machines and generate reports.
• Support maintenance and calibration validation as needed.
