Job summary

Chatsworth Products in Simi Valley, CA is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement processes and tooling for fabrication, finishing, assembly and final products. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensure ergonomic compliance, and develop work instructions and cost estimates.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and collaboration with product designers to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years in a manufacturing facility (metal fabrication preferred).
• Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• OSHA safety knowledge and strong problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity of existing production lines and processes.
• Lead equipment and facility-related projects from planning to execution.
• Develop sequences of operation and work instructions for new and modified processes.
• Estimate production costs and develop manufacturing plans for new products or modifications.
• Maintain production-related performance metrics and capacity planning.
