Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join our semiconductor fabrication team in a dynamic environment.

You will support wafer fabrication equipment and processes across photolithography, etch, deposition, and related technologies, gaining hands-on experience with cross-functional engineers. Responsibilities include documenting processes, performing experiments, implementing SPC and DoE, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Electrical, Materials or related engineering
• Experience or coursework in engineering principles
• Strong Excel skills
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication preferred
• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
• Co-op or intern fab experience welcomed

Responsibilities

• Create and update documentation describing product manufacture or equipment operation.
• Implement and monitor SPC.
• Design, run and document results of experiments under guidance of senior engineers.
• Communicate with team members to complete tasks.
• Qualify new processes and tools.
• Keep accurate records of experiments and process changes.
• Assist with other design, development, and support tasks.
