Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze and improve extrusion and converting processes. You will drive cost reduction initiatives, lead technical projects, and collaborate with multiple teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement data-driven improvements.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a relevant engineering field, 3+ years in process engineering, and experience with DMAIC/Lean Six Sigma.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Polymer Engineering required.
3+ years of experience in Process Engineering preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience with extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting processes.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and tools; interpretation of results.
Ability to manage a project across multiple manufacturing areas.
Knowledge of statistics and DMAIC methodology preferred.
Des-based experiments, Lean Six Sigma, SPC or equivalent experience preferred.
Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Analyze and develop solutions to support extrusion and converting processes.
Lead cost improvement projects to remove costs from operations.
Serve as technical lead for process and equipment improvements.
Collaborate with customers, TI, BU leaders, and other process engineering teams to address issues and opportunities.
Stay updated on new equipment/process developments in plastics extrusion.
Share knowledge with process engineers across locations.
Troubleshoot manufacturing problems using data-based decisions.
Develop work instructions to support standardized manufacturing.
Identify and implement new methods to improve profitability.
