Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation seeks a Product Technology Engineer to advance manufacturing processes and deliver high-quality products to customers. You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, Commercial, and Manufacturing to develop new processes, qualify materials, drive cost and quality improvements, and support product commercialization in extrusion, printing, and converting technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical engineering.
• Experience with extrusion, printing, laminating, web converting, and pouch/bag manufacturing.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques.
• Project management skills across multiple manufacturing sites and business functions.
• Experience in process engineering or product development.
• Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE), Lean Six Sigma, SPC, or similar methodologies (preferred).
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix organization with a proactive, self-driven approach.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement improved manufacturing methods to deliver high-quality products to customers.
• Lead the qualification of alternative resins and raw materials to support cost savings, supply continuity, and obsolescence management.
• Drive product line extensions and partner with R&D to commercialize innovative products.
• Collaborate with customers, R&D, Business Leaders, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and identify value-added product opportunities.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational profitability.
• Serve as the technical lead for quality improvement projects and manufacturing troubleshooting using data-driven decision-making.
• Stay current on advancements in plastics extrusion and web converting technologies while sharing best practices across manufacturing sites.
• Manage cross-functional projects involving multiple plants and manufacturing areas to achieve business objectives.
