Job summary

DAP, a market leading maker of home repair products, seeks a Process Engineer for the Baltimore Plant. You will provide process engineering support across raw materials, compounding, production and packaging to improve safety and drive the MS 168 continuous improvement process.

You will lead capital projects with the plant engineer, support daily production needs, advance improvements to reduce costs and variation, and ensure safe design and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• 2+ years' experience in manufacturing environment. Six Sigma/lean experience.
• Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other controls in batch manufacturing.
• Read and interpret process drawings (P&ID, process flow diagrams). PLC with ladder logic analysis.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD experience a plus; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production, and packaging to improve safety.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, increase material utilization and reduce variation.
• Coordinate with plant engineer on capital projects within budgets.
• Ensure safety goals and safety devices; perform hazard analyses for equipment.
• Support MS 168 data collection and visual management analyses.
• Assist with environmental program reporting, QA results, and process improvements.
