Job summary

ADM is seeking a Plant Process Engineer for the Clinton, IA site. The role applies engineering principles to both new and existing operations, covering process design, improvement, and technology evaluation to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals.

The position involves collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and partners, supporting capital projects, and developing process simulations. Strong communication and teamwork across functions are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years in plant operations or process engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, PSM, and food safety standards.
• Experience with process control systems and capital project support.
• Able to review PFDs and P&IDs and assist commissioning of new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to apply innovative approaches.
• Assist new product development and technology assessment.
• Support capital projects and startups using core process engineering competencies.
• Develop process simulation models to benchmark plant performance.
• Work with Production to implement APC and optimization applications.
• Mentor and coach engineering colleagues across functions.
• Contribute to cross-department collaboration to maximize shareholder value.
• Help establish engineering standards and propagate best practices.
