ADM's Decatur East Plant is seeking a Production Engineer to optimize and improve chemical and mechanical processes in a 24/7 soy protein production facility. You will support project development from conception through start-up and contribute to safety, quality, and cost performance across operations.

The role involves troubleshooting, data-driven decision making, and mentoring teammates, with opportunities to advance to project engineering and operations management paths.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of plant operations experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities and lead focused improvement efforts.
• Analyze existing processes for cost savings, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, controls, process, and quality personnel for process improvements.
• Assist in day-to-day operations including shift coverage as needed.
• Train and mentor other colleagues.
