Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Process Engineer to advance cutting-edge semiconductor processes. You will develop and optimize process formulations, specify hardware, and evaluate data to guide design and yield improvements.

You will contribute to the OCTO Pathfinding efforts and work with customers on roadmap-driven solutions. The role requires a Master’s or PhD with relevant experience, expertise in SPC/DOE, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD with relevant semiconductor process focus and years of experience.
• Experience with laboratory work and semiconductor equipment.
• Strong background in SPC/DOE and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process engineering R&D for semiconductor equipment.
• Review and enhance processing techniques for fabrication.
• Develop new processes to improve yields and reduce costs.
• Analyze test data to inform process development steps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align roadmaps and requirements.
• Support product development and provide guidance to technicians.

Education

Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field

PhD with 3+ years’ experience in related field
