Job Description

As the Production Engineer / Process Engineer, you will become the technical expert for the chemicals business. You will maintain first-time quality, develop process improvements, and support day-to-day activities. Additionally, you will coach and develop the team to foster a safe, quality-focused culture with an emphasis on continuous improvement. This position reports to the Production Team Leader.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Directs and monitors productivity, process yields, and product and process performance to meet production commitments.
2. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and implements enhancements in the production units to optimize utilization (throughput, quality, safety, efficiency).
3. Develops, plans, and coordinates projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient implementation, timely completion, and budget compliance.
4. Acts as the System Manager for DCS (Digital Control System) platforms and PIMS (Production Information Management System) data analysis packages.
5. Responsible for evaluation, selection, installation, programming, and servicing of new DCS equipment.
6. Supervises Production Operators in the absence of the Production Team Leader.
7. Trains and develops operators in assigned activities and assists with technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Significant experience as a Process/Production Engineer or similar role.
• Working knowledge of Process Control Systems.
• Experience with or working knowledge of SAP, controls systems such as Honeywell or Allen Bradley, and Operational Excellence (OE).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
