Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 1–3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of processes used to manufacture and convert flexible packaging, including blown film, metallization, flexographic printing, extrusion coating, adhesive laminating, and slitting/winding.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Statistical process control knowledge and related quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the number one priority while improving manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support to maintain and optimize operations and processes.
• Train machine operators on new equipment, modifications, and procedures.
• Collaborate with plant teams to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment modifications to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Participate in project evaluations to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

This position has responsibility for maintaining safe working practices while improving conversion costs in manufacturing, directly impacting competitiveness and profitability in the AFNA business.WHAT YOU GET TO DOMaintains Safety as the number one priority in conducting daily responsibilities, responding to production crew needs, and developing and implementing process improvements for quality, waste and productivity improvement.Supports the World Class Operations Management implementation as an active participant on teams and/or pillars.Investigates causes of ongoing process, quality, production efficiency and high waste problems.
