Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Process Design Intern in Billings, MT to support engineers on industrial process systems, equipment layouts, and energy and material flows. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to design tools, project documentation, site conditions, and multidisciplinary coordination under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BS/MS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Completed thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer or process design coursework.
• Basic understanding of process systems and engineering calculations.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with process flow diagrams, P&IDs, calculations, and equipment data.
• Support equipment evaluation, system layouts, balances, and design coordination.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
