Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist engineers and designers on HVAC, plumbing, process, fuels and other mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.

You will gain hands-on exposure to mechanical design principles, load calculations, technical software, energy efficiency, and multidisciplinary coordination under guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC, or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical drawings, calculations, equipment research, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, process, and related mechanical systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Education

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Completion of relevant engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC, or technical coursework.

Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
