Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Atlanta to support engineers and designers on HVAC, plumbing, process, fuels and other mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to mechanical design principles, load calculations, technical software, energy efficiency, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery while contributing to active assignments with guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering coursework (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC).
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical drawings, calculations, equipment research, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, process, and related mechanical systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
