Job summary

The Stellar Group is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of control systems for food and beverage manufacturing. You will drive instrumentation, panel design, PLC/HMI applications, and safety testing across raw material storage, processing, and packaging.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions and support commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 1–7 years in process controls or similar.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and other automation tools.
• Familiarity with ladder logic, C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize industrial control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop process solutions.
• Prepare controls narratives, instrumentation lists, and panel designs.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams for integration of controls.
• Support commissioning, start-up, testing and handover to operations.
• Travel to site and provide on-site technical support.
