Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to support instrumentation and process control systems for global gas facilities.

The role involves working from Air Products Global HQ in Allentown or regional office in LaPorte, TX, with substantial travel across the Americas. Responsibilities include troubleshooting DCS/PLC, supporting safety-focused plant operations, and driving projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in process automation systems and instrumentation.
Hands-on knowledge of automation systems, control panels and field instrumentation.
Strong communication skills for investigating, troubleshooting and presenting technical information.

Responsibilities

Support instrumentation and process control system needs of North/South American facilities supplying O2/N2/He/CO2/H2.
Troubleshoot urgent operational needs for remote facilities across instrumentation, DCS/PLC, and control stations.
Safely implement improvement projects with multi-disciplinary teams and support maintenance outages; optimize assets.
