Air Products in Allentown, PA or LaPorte, TX, is hiring a Process Controls Engineer. The role supports DCS/PLC automation and instrumentation across North and South America with ~20%–40% travel, mainly US domestic. On-call rotation is 24/7/365 for facility support.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with process automation systems and instrumentation is required.
• Hands-on knowledge of automation systems, control panels and field instrumentation is required.
• Strong communication skills for investigating and presenting technical information to teams.

Responsibilities

• Support instrumentation and process control needs of North/South America facilities.
• Troubleshoot urgent operational needs spanning instrumentation, DCS/PLC logic, and operator control stations.
• Safely implement improvement projects with multidisciplinary teams and support outages.
• Support asset optimization, address obsolescence, and meet safety and cost goals.
