Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an aspiring Process Control Engineer to join us as a Process Control Engineering Intern in the summer of 2027, supporting multiple sites with process projects. The role may sit at our Perdue Hill, AL cellulose mill or our Monticello, MS containerboard mill.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis, and you will support data-driven solutions to optimize engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Eligible to work full-time by Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis.
• Support development and implementation of data-driven solutions to optimize engineering processes.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations based on data insights.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution with facility teams and corporate resources.
