Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an aspiring Process Control Engineer to join our Projects & Engineering team as a Process Control Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at our Perdue Hill, AL plant or Monticello, MS mill. You will work with cross-functional teams on process engineering projects and data-driven plant improvements.

The role focuses on data analysis, development and implementation of data-driven solutions, and participation in project planning with facility teams and corporate resources.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.

Process Control Engineering Internship - Summer '27 - Perdue Hill, AL OR Monticello, MS

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an aspiring Process Control Engineer to join us as a Process Control Engineering Intern in the summer of 2027 as part of our Projects & Engineering organization. In this role, you will be part of team supporting multiple sites with process engineering projects and project execution. This intern will sit at our Perdue Hill, AL cellulose mill OR our containerboard mill in Monticello, MS.

The Georgia-Pacific Project & Engineering teamwork within our facilities to deliver projects, solutions, technology platforms, and asset strategies that enable our manufacturing capability. What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
• Eligible to work full-time on or by Summer 2028

What Will Put You Ahead

• Internship or project experience in an engineering, operations, and/or construction environment
• Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis ( FMEA)
