Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead technical execution of complex industrial projects from concept through startup. You’ll design and implement electrical power distribution and instrumentation systems, serving as the primary technical resource for assigned projects.

Qualified candidates bring 6+ years in industrial electrical/instrumentation engineering, NEC knowledge, and experience with medium-voltage systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
6+ years of industrial electrical and instrumentation engineering experience.
Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing, energy, or similar environments.
Strong NEC knowledge and experience with 15kV/5kV systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial facilities.
Prepare electrical and instrumentation deliverables including one-line diagrams, MCC diagrams, cable schedules, and layouts.
Develop specifications for 15kV/5kV switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motors, substations, and instrumentation.
Perform electrical engineering calculations including voltage drop, short circuit, conduit sizing, lighting, and load studies.
Develop conceptual designs, construction packages, cost estimates, and material take-offs.
Review vendor drawings and submittals; provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup.
