Qualifications

• Enrollment in BS program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• Sophomore year completed by summer 2027

Responsibilities

• Software development across multiple programming languages and hardware platforms
• Maintenance of computer hardware and software
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of automation system
• Modifications to automation to fit new products and processes
• Address issues impacting production or system reliability
• Process modeling for mill processes in chemical/metallurgical/mechanical domains
• Administration of OS and relational databases on workstations/servers
• Work with complex measurement systems (vision, thermal imaging, RFID/barcode)
• Work with networking technologies and high-speed data transmission
• Coordinate with production and R&D staff
• Respond to routine and emergency requests
• Manage local project/task lists
• Recommend system/process improvements
• Collaborate with vendors on products and performance issues
• Coordinate with R&D and other staff departments
