Cleveland-Cliffs invites students and new graduates to join its internship/co-op program in Dearborn, MI. As a Process Control Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for automation, maintain and troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with production teams to implement improvements that impact mill processes and product quality.

Project work will vary by education level and plant location, offering exposure to real-world chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical process modeling,

Qualifications

Enrollment in a BS program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Sophomore year completed by summer 2027.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

Develop software in multiple languages on various hardware platforms.
Maintain hardware and software for automation systems.
Troubleshoot automation issues to ensure production reliability.
Work with measurement systems (vision, temperature, RFID/barcode, X-ray gauges).
Coordinate with production, R&D, and staff departments on system improvements.
