Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Completion of sophomore year by summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Software development across languages and hardware platforms.
• Maintenance of hardware and software.
• Maintenance and problem solving of automation system.
• Modifications to the automation system for new products and processes.
• Address issues that may impact production or system reliability.
• Process modeling for mill processes of chemical, metallurgical and mechanical nature.
• Administration of OS and relational databases on workstations and servers.
• Work with complex measurement systems (vision, thermal imaging, RFID/barcode, X-ray/nuclear gauges).
• Networking technologies, high-speed data transmission, and specialty interfaces.
• Coordination with production department.
• Respond to routine and emergency requests.
• Manage local area project, task, and priority lists.
• Make recommendations for system and process improvements.
• Work with vendors on products and performance issues.
• Coordinate with R&D and other staff departments.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree
