Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Massachusetts (Stoughton) is looking for a Process Assistant to support the Area Manager and oversee daily department duties, including labor allocation and safety compliance.

You will participate in meetings, coach associates, track production metrics and assist in ensuring smooth operations across multiple fulfillment center areas, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school or equivalent.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Support and work in the department as required.
• Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers.
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers.
• Policy follow-up and attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline).
• Track and report ATS/labor hours.
• Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance.
• Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance.
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity.
• Fill in as needed with production duties.
• Fully understand workflow and daily production goals.
• Review and update SOP as required.
• Assist in keeping work area clean and organized.
• Identify and address safety hazards within the work area.
• Coach associates to work safely at all times.
• Participate in safety initiatives.
• Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education beyond High School, and/or prior experience managing employees
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with all levels of Amazon associates and management
• Experience with an FC Kaizen or Shingi event
• Awareness and willingness to use OE tools and techniques
• Experience working in Problem Solve is a plus
• Leadership ability

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
