Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Process Assistant (Full-time) in Roanoke, VA to help manage daily operations in Last Mile, allocate labor, lead meetings, assign duties, and coordinate with suppliers.

You will track labor hours, support production tasks, monitor metrics, and ensure safety and SOP compliance, with a focus on timely delivery and customer satisfaction. This role requires flexibility, use of Microsoft Office, and ability to lift up to 49 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Track and report ATS/labor hours.
  • Occasionally assist with production duties, train associates and verify SOP compliance.
  • Ensure successful area performance through tracking and reporting metrics.
  • Independently assess all aspects of associate work performance and provide timely and detailed feedback.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Maintain a full understanding of workflow and daily production goals.
  • Review and update SOPs as required.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean and are properly equipped.
  • Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Coach associates on ways to work safely at all times.
  • Ensure all job injuries are reported timely in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers.

Amazon Process Assistant (Full‑time)

Process Assistants are part of the Last Mile operations in RSR and play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction, and communicating with internal and external suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Track and report ATS/labor hours
  • Occasionally assist with production duties, train associates and verify SOP compliance

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, and/or prior Amazon experience
  • Awareness and willingness to use OPEX tools and techniques
  • Demonstrates problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) across various levels of an organization
  • History of meeting/exceeding departmental goals
  • Experience leading teams
  • Capable of providing direction to team members using independent judgment
  • Organization and time management skills
