Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Process Assistant for a full-time role in Manhattan, KS. This on-site position includes in-role training at an operating site lasting over five weeks. Training travel is booked and paid by Amazon.

The role supports Last Mile operations, managing labor, leading meetings, assigning duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers. Responsibilities include tracking hours, mentoring associates, ensuring SOP compliance, and driving performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand for long shifts.
• 40 hours/week with overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Track and report ATS/labor hours.
• Assist with production duties, train associates and verify SOP compliance.
• Ensure area performance via tracking and reporting metrics.
• Provide timely feedback on associate performance.
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Maintain understanding of workflow and production goals.
• Review and update SOPs as required.
• Keep work areas clean and properly equipped.
• Identify safety hazards and participate in safety initiatives.
• Coach associates on safe work practices.
• Report job injuries per policies and procedures.
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers.

Job description

Amazon Process Assistant (Full-time). This full-time position requires in-role training at an operating site that will last 5+ weeks. All training travel accommodations will be booked and paid for by Amazon.

Process Assistants are part of the Last Mile operations in Rural Super Rural (RSR) and play a crucial role in daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction and communicating with internal and external suppliers.

• Track and report ATS/labor hours
• Occasionally assist with production duties, train associates and verify SOP compliance
• Ensure successful area performance through tracking and reporting metrics
• Independently assess all aspects of associate work performance and provide timely and detailed feedback
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives
• Maintain a full understanding of workflow and daily production goals
• Review and update SOPs as required
• Ensure work areas remain clean and are properly equipped
• Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety initiatives
• Coach associates on ways to work safely at all times
• Ensure all job injuries are reported timely in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and perform frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
• Availability for 40 hours/week and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, and/or prior Amazon experience
• Awareness and willingness to use OPEX tools and techniques
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication across various organizational levels
• History of meeting or exceeding departmental goals
• Experience leading teams and providing direction to team members using independent judgment
• Strong organization and time management skills

USA, KS, MANHATTAN - 22.00 - 22.00 USD hourly

Starting pay includes base pay plus the highest available shift differential, which varies by shift. Additional compensation may include overtime pay and performance bonuses, as well as benefits such as EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, and 401(k) matching.
