Job Description

Scope Of Position: Provide off-shift 2nd level technical expertise to support 24/7 manufacturing operations. Use engineering principles for troubleshooting, technical assignments, and projects. Make decisions based on engineering and scientific methods. Collaborate across departments to resolve process and product issues. Work with maintenance and engineering to improve processes and reliability. Execute projects independently to meet department goals. Report to maintenance supervisor and have a dotted line to the FR Engineering supervisor.

Day To Day Responsibilities: Support process and equipment on your shift. Manage process performance improvements, data analysis, root cause corrective actions, and documentation. Troubleshoot mechanical and controls issues, assist in equipment commissioning, and develop training materials. Document procedures, support technology transfer, and ensure proper documentation of processes and calibrations. Train personnel and improve maintenance documentation. Support new technology transfer and ensure all documentation is complete. Complete shift reports and paperwork.

Work Hours and Schedule: Night shift (C or D schedules), 12-hour shifts, with ad-hoc support.
Less than 2% travel.

Minimum Education: High School/GED, technical degree preferred.
Experience: 3+ years manufacturing, fiber optic/cabling preferred.

Required Skills: Problem-solving, technical/mechanical understanding, collaboration, results-oriented, quick learner, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills: Communication, plastic extrusion knowledge, cabling process, design software, data analysis, measurement tools.

Soft Skills: Interpersonal skills, planning, organization, multitasking, data presentation skills.

The pay range is $29.75 - $34.50 hourly, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, life insurance, disability, and PTO.
