Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston, MA, is seeking a Process Engineering Data Analytics Co-Op for January–July 2027. This full-time, paid 6-month program offers hands-on work in Technical Operations - Drug Product, focusing on analyzing historical manufacturing data to identify trends and process drivers.

As a co-op, you will develop visualizations and dashboards using JMP, Excel, and Power BI, collaborate across departments, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program (Master’s or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
• Strong background in statistics and data analytics.
• GPA 3.5+ required.
• US work authorization; Vertex does not sponsor internships/co-ops.
• Available January–July 2027; full-time, 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends and drivers.
• Perform data cleaning, visualization and statistical analysis with JMP/Excel/Power BI.
• Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Quality teams.
• Work in a cross-functional team to develop data-driven solutions.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
