Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston is seeking a Biologics MSAT Co-Op for a 6-month training program. You will support data analytics workflows, process monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to drive insights in biologics manufacturing.

The role targets students pursuing BS or MS in related fields with strong analytical skills and experience in data tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python or R. The program offers hybrid work, full-time scheduling, and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Education: pursuing BS or MS in chemical/biochemical engineering, data science, statistics, biology, chemistry or related fields.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data in Excel; exposure to JMP, Minitab, Power BI, Python or R preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within Biologics MSAT and cross-functional partners on data analytics projects for biologics manufacturing.
• Compile, clean, organize and analyze manufacturing and process data from multiple sources.
• Develop repeatable data workflows, dashboards, visualizations, and summaries to support monitoring.
• Perform trend analyses to identify variability, signals and improvement opportunities.
• Document methods, data sources and conclusions in a clear, traceable manner.
