Pittsburgh Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a detail-oriented GI Procedure Scheduler to join our team. The role focuses on coordinating and scheduling GI procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and staff, handling scheduling requests, and maintaining accurate patient records while ensuring insurance requirements and authorizations are in place.

Formación

• Experience in medical scheduling or healthcare office preferred.
• Knowledge of GI procedures or specialty scheduling is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Positive and highly motivated to work in teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused GI Procedure Scheduler to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule GI procedures and follow-up appointments in accordance with provider availability and clinical guidelines.
• Verify insurance requirements, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding prep instructions, procedure details, and appointment logistics.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records in the scheduling system.
• Handle incoming calls, messages, and scheduling requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Previous medical scheduling or healthcare office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GI procedures or specialty scheduling is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
